From pain to performance

Physiotherapy, strength and recovery under one roof across three central London clinics: four of the ways we move you from pain to performance, each plan built around you.

Physiotherapy, performance
and nutrition under one roof.

Physio and Performance is a physiotherapy and performance practice across 3 central London clinics: Soho, Liverpool Street, and Marylebone, all inside UNTIL, plus home visits across London and online sessions. The practice is led by physiotherapist Sam Harvey, who brings 15 years of clinical experience, and unites 3 strands of care under one roof: physiotherapy, strength and performance, and nutrition.

Our approach is evidence-based and built around your real life: we look at how your work, sport, and lifestyle load your body, then pair hands-on manual therapy with progressive exercise and clear education. We are not interested in treatment that feels good for an afternoon and fades by the weekend. Across 8 services, 5 core areas of musculoskeletal care: low back pain and sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, knee pain, tendinopathy, and sports injuries, and 3 London clinics, the job is the same, move you from pain to performance, whether you sit at a desk all week or chase a personal best at the weekend.

The team pairs physiotherapist Sam Harvey, whose elite-sport background spans Cork City FC, Munster Rugby, and Cork U19 GAA: with Pilates instructor Ann Salmon and sports dietitian Nicola Marsh, who gained her Master's in Sports Nutrition in 2016. Between 3 clinicians and 3 disciplines, you get joined-up care, and you can self-refer and start with a free 15-minute consultation: no GP letter required.

Your journey,
step by step

Assessment

Your first appointment covers a detailed history and a thorough musculoskeletal examination of movement, strength, and the affected area. We discuss our findings with you and agree a working diagnosis and treatment plan you understand before you leave.

Treatment & Rehabilitation

Hands-on manual therapy combined with a progressive, tailored exercise programme: with sports massage, dry needling, shockwave, or Reformer Pilates added where they help. You leave with a written summary and a home-exercise plan, so progress continues between visits.

Reassess & Return to Performance

Each follow-up reassesses progress against your baseline, adjusting load and technique as you improve and using objective testing where useful to guide a confident return to work, sport, or daily life. Discharge happens by mutual agreement when you can manage independently.

Common
questions

Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. UK physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, so you can self-refer and book directly. We also offer a free 15-minute consultation call to discuss whether we are the right fit first. If you are using private health insurance your provider may require a GP referral, so check your policy before booking.

Where are your clinics?

We have three London clinics, all inside UNTIL: Soho (111 Charing Cross Road, WC2H 0DT), Liverpool Street (280 Bishopsgate, EC2M 4RB), and Marylebone (1 Orchard Street, W1H 6HJ). We also offer home visits across London and online sessions, so you can be seen wherever suits you best.

What happens during my first appointment?

Your initial visit includes detailed history-taking and a thorough musculoskeletal assessment of movement, strength, and the affected area, after which we discuss our findings and agree a working diagnosis and plan with you. Follow-up sessions continue treatment and progress your rehabilitation, reassessing against your baseline as you improve.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring a list of any medication you take, any consultant letters or scan results, and comfortable clothing that allows movement and access to the area needing treatment. Arrive a few minutes early for your first visit so we can complete a short intake before your assessment begins.

Do you offer home visits and online sessions?

Yes. Alongside our three London clinics we offer home visits across London and online consultations for assessment, advice, and tailored exercise programmes: useful if you are travelling, recovering at home, or prefer to be seen remotely. Ask about home visits and online slots when you get in touch.

What is the free 15-minute consultation?

It is a short, no-obligation call to discuss your problem, what you want to achieve, and whether physiotherapy at our practice is the right next step. It helps you understand how we would approach your case before you commit to a full assessment. Get in touch to arrange one.
