About

From pain to performance, under one roof

Physio and Performance is a physiotherapy and performance practice across three central London clinics: Soho, Liverpool Street and Marylebone, all inside UNTIL: led by physiotherapist Sam Harvey and uniting physiotherapy, strength and nutrition in one place.

Our Story

Physio and Performance was built on one idea: pain relief that lasts is not enough on its own, you also need the strength behind it. The practice is led by physiotherapist Sam Harvey, who brings 15 years of clinical experience across upper-limb, lower-limb, spinal and post-operative rehabilitation, with an elite-sport background spanning Cork City FC, Munster Rugby and Cork U19 GAA. Today we work across 3 central London clinics: Soho, Liverpool Street and Marylebone, all inside UNTIL, plus home visits across London and online sessions, so you can be seen wherever suits you. Under one roof we bring together 3 strands of care: physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation, coached strength and conditioning, and nutrition. Across 8 services and 5 core areas of musculoskeletal care: low back pain and sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, knee pain, tendinopathy and sports injuries, the job is always the same, find the cause, not just the symptom, and move you from pain to performance.

Insurance & Funding Options

Most appointments are self-pay, with fees shown as price on enquiry while we confirm your treatment plan. We provide an itemised invoice or receipt for every session, suitable for claiming back through private health insurance where your policy covers physiotherapy. We are not able to bill insurers directly on your behalf, so we ask you to settle with us and reclaim from your provider. Before booking, confirm two things with your insurer: that your policy covers physiotherapy, and whether they require a GP referral or pre-authorisation first, some do.

GP & Clinician Referrals

In the UK, physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, which means you do not need a GP letter to see us: you can self-refer and book directly, and many patients start with a free 15-minute consultation call. We also welcome referrals from GPs, consultants and surgeons, and we are happy to accept patients who are mid-pathway after a scan, an operation or a specialist appointment. With your consent, we can liaise with your GP, consultant or surgeon: sharing assessment findings and rehabilitation progress, so your wider care stays joined up.

Meet the Team

Your care is delivered by a small, multidisciplinary team: physiotherapist and clinical lead Sam Harvey, rehabilitation-trained Pilates instructor Ann Salmon, and sports nutritionist and dietitian Nicola Marsh, who gained her Master's in Sports Nutrition in 2016. Between 3 clinicians and 3 disciplines you get joined-up care rather than a single perspective. You can read each practitioner's full background, training and specialties on our Meet the Team page.

Rehab & Exercise Resources

Treatment does not stop when you leave the clinic. After your assessment you receive a bespoke home-exercise programme built around your diagnosis, your goals and the equipment you have, and you leave each session with a written summary so progress continues between visits. We coach technique in person, then give you the exercises, sets and progressions to keep working on at home, at the gym or on the road, because the work you do between appointments is where lasting change happens.
